The works of Giulio Boato arise from the dialogue between cinema and performance, transforming stage presence into visual storytelling. As a director, he has created portraits of visionary artists such as Romeo Castellucci, Shiro Takatani, Heiner Goebbels, and Jan Fabre, and has brought to the screen cinematic adaptations of works by Lucia Ronchetti, Meytal Blanaru, the Nanou group, Mariangela, and Vinicio Capossela. Coproduced in various European countries, his films have screened at international festivals and theaters, finding in the projection space an extension of the stage.
